What replaced Samsung Smart View?

Nothing replaced it, because it was never really removed — it moved. Smart View is no longer a separate app you download. On Galaxy phones it now lives in the Quick Settings panel, and the same job is also done by the SmartThings app.
What genuinely went away is the desktop Smart View application for Windows and Mac. There is no official replacement for that one, which is why searches for "Smart View download for PC" lead nowhere useful.
Where the feature actually is now
- Put the phone and TV on the same Wi-Fi. Same network, same band — not 5 GHz on one and 2.4 GHz on the other.
- Swipe down twice from the top of your Galaxy phone to open the full Quick Settings panel.
- Tap Smart View. If you cannot see it, tap the pencil or Edit and drag it into the panel — it is present but hidden on many phones.
- Pick your TV, then confirm Start now on the phone and accept on the TV if it prompts.

Why people think it was discontinued
Three separate things happened, and they get conflated:

So if you searched Google Play for "Samsung Smart View" and found only third-party apps with unfamiliar names, that is why. The official one is not there any more because it does not need to be.
Be careful what you install from that search. Several third-party apps use "Smart View" and "Samsung" in their names to catch this traffic. One of the largest has over 38,000 ratings and averages 2.9 stars. Check the rating and the developer before installing anything.
The part Smart View does not solve: non-Samsung TVs
Smart View is designed for Samsung TVs, and also works with Chromecast devices. Point it at a TV from another manufacturer and results get inconsistent — which is the single most common reason people go looking for an alternative in the first place.
